NEVER TOO LATE TO DO THINGS RIGHT... Let's do this!

April 30, 2013 ---we are celebrating the 157th (OR SO WE THOUGHT!) Foundation Anniversary of the town of Lopez. But twelve years ago, we found out that it was not the date of our township. Based on the Spanish Records from the National Archives, Talolong (now Lopez) became a town by virtue of a Decree signed by the Governor General of Philippine Islands Fernando Norzagaray on 30 June 1857. Will the officials who will be elected on May and be sworn to office on 30 June this year finally correct this and the other mistakes in our local history? I hope so! Read more about this inquiry in my little book "ABC BEGINS WITH H!"
